Iran Missile Attack- US Soldiers Injured- Open Facts of World

334 US soldiers injured in Iran missile attack

WASHINGTON - At least 34 US soldiers have suffered a heart attack and brain injuries in an Iranian missile strike this month in the Iraqi air space, the Pentagon said. Half the soldiers were back on duty. Pentagon chief spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said 17 of the 34 were still under medical supervision.

President Donald Trump initially said he was told that soldiers were not injured in the January 8 attack. According to the military, the symptoms were not reported immediately after the attack and in some cases, the information could be found days later. After the initial reports that some soldiers were injured, Trump said they were dealing with headaches and had no serious injuries.

Hoffman has revealed that 34 people have been brain-damaged by the first report of the number of casualties in Iran's missile strike against the Iraqi al-Assad airbase in western Iraq.

Of the 34 injured, 18 were transferred from Iraq to US medical centers in Germany and Kuwait, and 16 were in Iraq, Hoffman said.

Of the 18 who were transferred from Iraq, 17 were sent to Germany. Nine people remain there, while the other eight have been taken to the United States for continuous monitoring or treatment. A soldier sent to Kuwait returned to duty
